Description

Participants will study independently in the online learning environment through their own computers. The participant can take the course in a time and place most suitable for them.

The participant needs a computer, an internet browser, a broadband connection and a personal e-mail address.

The participant’s computer needs to have a sound card and headphones or speakers for the audio materials of the online courses. Only basic computer skills are needed to complete the training.

The training contents are produced by Primatest Oy / Primaonline® (Business ID 1561460-3). The audio-visual materials have been created by online training experts.  The spoken parts are presented by a person speaking British English.

The contents of the training are based on the standard Safety at electrical work EN 50110/2013. The training is valid in all CENELEC countries. In this training, the national requirements are based on Finnish legislation and the national supplementary requirements for electrical safety obeyed in Finland. In other countries, the local occupational safety legislation and the national supplementary requirements for electrical safety of the country in question must be obeyed.

Who needs to take the training for Safety at electrical work EN 50110?

In Finland, the training for Safety at electrical work EN 50110 is mandatory for all electrical installers, supervisors, specialists and operators. The training needs to be repeated at intervals of five years, at most, and also when the regulations related to working methods or the work activities change essentially. In several work locations, it is absolutely required that a person has taken the Safety at electrical work training before they can do electrical work. The validity of the training can be proven with an electrical safety certificate card.

Contents
The contents of the course correspond excellently to the requirements for the Safety at electrical work EN 50110 training posed by the official Finnish regulations (Coverment decision on Electrical Works, VNa 1345/2016). The contents have been created from the perspective of the most typical indoor installations and electrical service and maintenance work at under 1 kV. The course includes 9 sub-courses and a final exam. These will be taken independently. The sub-courses also include practice exams that help prepare for the final exam. The nominal duration of each sub-course is 15–30 minutes, but they can be interrupted and revised as many times as necessary. In addition, the participant will need time to read the written support materials and take the final exam. You can complete the course in as many sessions as you want, within the time provided for completing the course. The time for completing the course is approximately a week from delivering the user credentials. At the fastest pace, you can complete the course in a few hours.

In order to pass the course and receive the certificate, the participant must have listened to each sub-course in full and passed the final exam. Those who have passed the course will receive a certificate and an electrical safety certificate card. On request, the certificate can be e-mailed as soon as the course has been passed. The certificate is available in English on request.

Participation fee
The price of the course is 179 € + VAT per person.

The price includes a temporary personal access right to the learning environment, the right to use the printable support materials, the certificate and the electrical safety certificate card. The course documents will be delivered after passing the course when the participation fee has been paid.
